1 Lubricate the hinges of the bonnet, trunk lid, or tailgate and doors regularly with a few drops of liquid oil.
2 At the same time, lightly lubricate the hood release mechanism, tailgate latch, strike plate and lock (see photo).
3 Do not attempt to lubricate the steering column lock or any of the seat belt tensioner assemblies.
