1. The sensor is screwed into the cylinder block between cylinders #2 and #3. On the rear side on most models, but may be located on the front side on some early engines.
2. Whenever installing the sensor, tighten it to the tightening torque specified in the Specifications.
3. If you suspect that the sensor is faulty, first check the connector and wiring, then the sensor itself, installing a known good one.
