Attention! The fuel detonation sensor is a very fragile device and will fail if dropped or hit. The fuel detonation sensor is installed on the reverse side of the cylinder block.
Removal
1. To access the sensor, set the handbrake, then lift the front of the car and support it on jack stands. The sensor can be accessed from underneath the car.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Then disconnect the sensor connection connector.

4. Loosen and remove the bolt securing the sensor to the cylinder block and remove it from underneath the vehicle.
Installation
5. When installing, make sure that the contact surfaces of the sensor and the cylinder block are clean and dry.
6. Install the sensor so that its connection connector faces the right side of the engine, then install the mounting bolt and tighten it to the required tightening torque.
7. Check that nothing else is touching the sensor, then lower the car to the ground and reconnect the battery.
