Drive shaft protective boots — removal and installation (Nissan Bluebird T12)

1. Remove the shaft from the vehicle.

2. To replace the inner joint boot, release the boot clips, pull the boot off, remove the joint and the boot itself.

3. To replace the inner and outer joint boots, remove the outer joint boot from the shaft through the inner end.

4. To replace the outer joint boot, release the clamps, pull the boot off, remove the joint and boot.

5. Remove grease from the joint using a plastic or wooden spatula and rags. Do not use solvents if the joints will not be disassembled.

6. Check the connection components.

7. When assembling, inject the required amount of grease into the joint. Place excess grease into the boot. Install the boot, assemble the joint (see above).

8. Install the drive shaft.
