Relays are used to supply electrical current to components of some of the vehicle's electrical accessories. A malfunction of the relay will result in the failure of the component it serves.
If any relay is suspected of being faulty, it must be removed and subjected to diagnostic testing at the company's dealership or a specialized auto repair shop. The faulty relay is replaced as an assembly.
