2. When removing broken glass, wear protective gloves and eye protection.
3. Using an air injector with a power of 700 to 1500 watts, heat the glass base mount (figure 11.18).

4. Using a screwdriver inserted under the mounting tab, remove the glass from the base. Start at the top outer edge from the car, being careful not to damage the heater wires.
5. Completely clean the surfaces of the base on which the glass replacement adhesive will be applied.
6. Reheat the attachment points and edges of the glass being replaced (figure 11.19), then remove the protective coating of the adhesive strips on the glass and insert it into the base (figure 11.20), but be careful not to break the new glass or damage the base.
