1. You will need an assistant. First, with the trunk lid open, place a thick cloth pad below each front corner to protect the paint.
2. Remove the left door pillar trim panel and disconnect the wiring. Remove the rubber sleeve from the top of the pillar and remove the wiring. Disconnect the rear window washer pipe.
3. Support the rear door, then separate the two pillars.
4. Make a mark around the hinges on the tailgate, then remove the hinge nuts and remove the tailgate.
5. If necessary, roof and ceiling trim can be removed to provide access to bolts.
6. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order, but before tightening the rear door hinge, check all adjustments.
7. To remove the rear door trim panel (see Chapter 33 of this Section) unscrew its lock nuts and pull out the plastic clips. Remove the panel, noting the position of the seal. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
8. No information about installing emblems (where it is equipped).
