Sedan
1. Open the trunk lid and disconnect the rod from the lock cylinder by removing the fastener. Remove the spring clip to disconnect the lock.
2. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
3. Check that the rod rotates freely. Add grease if necessary (see figure 11.14).
Hatchback
4. Open the rear door and remove the interior trim panel (see Chapter 33 of this Section).

5. Remove the bracket securing the lock rod to the bolt or lock cylinder, then remove the mounting screws and remove the lock (see photo).

6. Assembly is performed in the reverse order. Lubricate both ends of the rod, install the fasteners and tighten the screws securely.
