Unlocking the trunk lid with the handle
The trunk lid release handle is located on the outside of the driver's seat. To open the trunk or tailgate, pull the handle up. To close the trunk, lower the lid or tailgate down and push it until the lock clicks into place.
CAUTION: To prevent the trunk lid or tailgate from opening while driving, make sure the lid or tailgate is securely closed before starting the engine.
Unlocking with a key
To open the trunk lid or tailgate with the key, turn the key clockwise. To close the trunk, lower the lid or tailgate down and push it until the lock clicks into place.
CAUTION! To avoid harmful exhaust gases entering the passenger compartment, do not drive with the trunk open.
Trunk lid lock handle (for models with a closed body type)
When the handle is set to the "CANCEL" position, the trunk lid cannot be opened from inside the passenger compartment. In this case, the trunk can only be opened with the key.
