Front seat belts
1. Remove the plastic cover and unscrew the bolt from the anchor on top of the seat belt (see photo).

2. Remove the door center pillar trim panels (see Chapter 33 of this Section).
3. Remove the plastic cover and unscrew the bolt from the anchor at the base of the seat belt, then remove the mounting screw and pull out the seat belt tensioner mechanism. If necessary, the seat belt tensioner cover can be detached from the pillar (see photo).

4. If necessary, the seat belt retainer bracket can be removed by unscrewing the bolt from the base (see photo).

5. Where equipped, the upper anchor height adjuster can be removed by unscrewing the bolt from the pillar after the seat belt anchor and upper trim panel have been removed (see photo).

6. Reassemble in reverse order, but ensure that the anchors move freely when the bolts are tightened to the specified torque.
Rear seat belts
7. Remove the rear seat (see Chapter 34 of this Section).
8. Unscrew the bolt from the seat belt anchor and the retainer bracket from the floor. Note that the two-point belt can be removed (see photo).

9. Remove the plastic cover and unscrew the bolt from the upper seat belt anchor (see photo).

10. On Sedan models, the seat belt tensioner can be unscrewed from inside the trunk (see photo). To remove the belt, you need to remove the rear seat and shelf (Chapters 33 and 34 from this Section).

11. On Hatchback models, the trunk trim panels must be removed (see Chapter 33 of this Section), so that you can unscrew the tensioner and remove the seat belt.
12. Reassemble in reverse order, but ensure that the anchors move freely when the bolts are tightened to the specified torque.
