2. Remove the screws on each side at the front edge of the console (see photo).

3. Lift the console from the rear behind the parking brake lever and remove the mounting brackets. Remove the two screws located behind it (see photo).

4. Remove the rear storage tray cover, remove the mat and remove the two screws underneath (see photo).

5. Carefully remove the seat heating switches (where it is equipped) and disconnect the electrical wires.
6. Carefully remove the gear shift lever protective cover (manual transmission) or the gear shift button (automatic transmission) (see photo).

7. Release the parking brake and lift the panel from the rear, disconnecting all electrical wires and remove the console (see photo). On models with automatic transmission, the start button can be removed if necessary by removing the two mounting screws (see Section 7).
