Removal
Operation numbers correspond to part numbers in the figure.
First disconnect the battery cables and airbag connectors. Remove the driver's airbag module and steering wheel (see chapter "Security system").
1. Remove the steering column cover and steering column switches by unscrewing the mounting screws.
2. Remove the lower panel from the driver's side.
3. Remove the instrument panel console trim.
4. Remove the instrument cluster cover.
5. Remove the instrument cluster.
6. Remove the heater and air conditioner control panel.
7. Remove the glove box by removing the pins and disconnecting the passenger airbag module connector.
8. Remove the passenger airbag module (see chapter "Security system").
9. Remove the gear shift boot or selector cover.
10. Remove the rear console box. Remove the plugs to access the screws.
11. Remove the center console by unscrewing the screws and bolt. To access the bolt, remove the decorative cover.
12. Remove the instrument panel plugs and disconnect the connectors.
13. Remove the front roof pillar trims, which are secured with two metal clips in the middle and hooked onto the instrument panel below.

14. Loosen the instrument panel mounting bolts and nuts, remove the outside rearview mirror switch and disconnect the connector. Remove the instrument panel.
