Removal the airbag and coil cable
WARNINGS:
- Before working on the security system, turn off the ignition, disconnect both cables from the battery and wait at least 10 minutes.
- Work from the side of the airbag.
- Special bolts are coated with a fixing compound. Replace them with new ones after unscrewing.
- Position the airbag module with the trim panel facing up.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the airbag module or coil cable.
- Avoid contact of grease with the coil cable and airbag.
1. Remove the steering wheel lower cover and disconnect the airbag module connector.

2. Remove the side covers. Unscrew the special bolts using a T50 Torx head with a central hole. After this, the airbag can be removed.
3. Set the steering wheel to neutral position.
4. Disconnect the horn switch connector and remove the nuts.
5. Using a puller, remove the steering wheel.
6. Remove the steering column cover.
7. Disconnect the connectors and unscrew the four screws. After this, you can remove the spiral cable.
Installation
1. Set the wheels to the position corresponding to driving in a straight line.
2. Make sure the coil cable is in neutral position (the neutral position is determined by turning it to the left approximately 2.5 turns from the extreme right position). Align the alignment marks.
3. Connect the spiral cable connector and tighten the screws. Install the steering column cover.
4. Pass the wires through the steering wheel. Connect the horn switch connector and secure the coiled cable in the steering wheel.
5. Tighten the steering wheel nut to a torque of 29-39 Nm.
6. Install the air cushion module and tighten the special bolts.
7. Connect the air bag module connector.
8. Install the covers.
9. Connect the wires to the battery and turn on the system self-diagnosis mode.
10. Turn the steering wheel left and right until it stops to make sure the coil cable is in the correct position.
If the airbag indicator light flashes or remains on during normal operation (not diagnostic) operating mode of the system, this may indicate that the cable is pinched. Perform self-diagnostics again and if a fault is detected, replace the cable.
