Note: A special puller is required to remove the steering wheel.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. On models with a central horn button, carefully pry the button from the side using a flat-bladed tool and remove it from the steering wheel (see accompanying illustration).

3. On models with a screw-type horn button mount, use a short screwdriver to loosen the mounting screws under the steering wheel.
4. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the button.
5. Mark the position of the steering wheel on the shaft, then loosen the mounting nut.

6. Using a special puller, remove the wheel from the steering shaft.
Note: Do not tap the end of the steering shaft as this may damage the column.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
1. Lubricate the turn signal switch return cam on the back of the steering wheel with multi-purpose grease.
2. Align the alignment marks made during dismantling and place the steering wheel on the shaft.
3. Check the proper operation of the return mechanism of the turn signal switch and tighten the steering wheel mounting nut with a force of 29÷39 Nm.
