Please note: The noise the seat belt makes when retracting depends on how well it works. Under no circumstances should oil or grease be used to eliminate noise. For safety reasons, the automatic seat belt retractor and tensioner must not be disassembled.
- Pull the seat belt out completely and check to see if any of the belt threads are loose.
- Damage to the belt material from a cigarette can cause the belt to jam. In this case, the belt must be replaced.
- If the belt has wear, but the threads have not come loose, then the belt does not need to be replaced.
- If the belt moves with difficulty, it must be checked for twists (arrow).

- If the automatic rewinding device does not work, the belt must be replaced in a workshop.
- The seat belt material should only be cleaned with soap and water; never use solvents or chemical cleaning agents.
