1. All components of the fuel system from the tank to the injectors contain fuel, which is under pressure when the engine is running.
2. The pressure remains for some time after the engine has been stopped and must be reduced.
3. Method one: remove the fuel pump fuse from the fuse panel, then start the engine and let it idle until it stalls. Crank the engine 2-3 times with the starter, turn off the ignition. Don't forget to replace the fuse.
4. The second method: if the engine has just been turned off, disconnect the vacuum hose of the pressure regulator from the vacuum rod of the intake manifold, suck as much as possible to open the diaphragm of the regulator. The pressure will then be released into the fuel tank. Connect the vacuum hose.
