Note. Before starting work, read the precautions in Section General information and security measures.
Attention! After performing the procedure described below, gasoline will remain in the pipelines. Take all necessary precautions before disconnecting any fuel hose.
1. When the engine is running, the fuel inside the power system path is under pressure, which continues to be maintained for a sufficiently long time after the ignition is turned off. Relieve stroke pressure before disconnecting any of the system components.
2. Nissan recommends using a diagnostic tool to relieve pressure «Consult-II», however, this operation can be carried out in another way.
3. De-energize the fuel pump circuit. To do this, remove its fuse (see chapter Onboard electrical equipment), or remove the rear seat assembly (see chapter Body), open the service hatch and disconnect the fuel gauge, fuel filter and fuel pump assembly connector (see Section Removal and installation of assembly of the fuel pump, the fuel filter and the gauge of a stock of fuel).
4. Start the engine. After the engine spontaneously stalls, to ensure complete pressure relief, turn it a few more times with the starter. If the engine cannot be started, crank it over with the starter for a few seconds. After completing the procedure, turn off the ignition and dock the connector / install the fuse.
5. Remember that after depressurizing / removing fuel from the power system, it takes a little longer to start the engine than usual - you will have to crank the crankshaft with the starter until the pressure in the system is restored and the fuel fills all the fuel lines.
