Caution: Remember that there will be fuel left in the system, so take proper precautions when disconnecting system components. Use clean rags to wrap around the connections to collect the fuel. Plug or cap open fuel lines to prevent fuel leakage or dirt from entering the system.
- Turn off the ignition.
- Remove the cover of the relay and fuse box located in the engine compartment of the vehicle.
- Remove the fuel pump fuse (arrow) located in the fuse box.

- Start the engine and let it run until it stalls. This will mean that the fuel in the system is out of fuel.
- Turn the engine over with the starter several times and you can consider the fuel pressure to be relieved.
