Programming the position of the released gas pedal
1. This procedure should be performed every time after disconnecting the ECM harness or gas pedal position sensor.
2. Make sure the gas pedal is fully released.
3. Switch on the ignition and wait at least 2 seconds.
4. Switch off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds.
5. Switch on the ignition and wait at least 2 seconds.
6. Switch off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds.
Throttle Close Programming
1. This procedure should be performed every time after disconnecting the ECM harness or throttle actuator.
2. Make sure the gas pedal is fully released.
3. Turn on the ignition, then turn it off and wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Check by ear that the throttle valve moves within 10 seconds.
Throttle Actuator Programming in Idle Position
1. This procedure should be performed every time the ECM harness or throttle actuator is disconnected or the idle speed or ignition timing test fails.
Note. The following is a description of programming without using a diagnostic tool.
2. Before you start programming, make sure you meet the following requirements:
- The battery voltage is at least 12.9 V at idle speed;
- The coolant is warmed up to a temperature of 70 ÷ 95 degrees;
- PNP sensor included;
- Headlights, K / V and rear window heating are turned off (on models with DRL, set the ambient light switch to position 1);
- The wheels are set to the position of rectilinear movement;
- The vehicle is stationary;
- The transmission is warmed up to operating temperature.
3. Program the position of the released gas pedal and closed throttle.
4. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
5. Turn off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Make sure that the gas pedal is fully released and turn on the ignition for at least 3 seconds.
7. Within 5 seconds, fully depress and release the gas pedal 5 times in a row.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the gas pedal and hold it for about 20 seconds until the failure indicator light stops flashing and turns off.
9. Release the gas pedal within 3 seconds after the K / L goes out.
10. Start the engine and let it idle. Increase the speed several times and make sure that the idle speed and ignition timing meet the requirements Specifications.
Note. The programming diagram is shown in the illustration below.
11. If the desired result is not achieved, follow these steps:
- Make sure the throttle is fully closed;
- Check the PCV valve;
- Make sure that air is not sucked into the downstream through the throttle valve;
- If the above three conditions are met, check the components of the engine management system.
