2. To remove the exhaust system, place the car on an inspection pit. Unscrew the nuts, separate the distribution pipe from the exhaust manifold. Unscrew the sections, disconnect from the rubber hangers and remove the system (photo).

3. If it is difficult to remove the center and rear sections because of the stabilizer bar, unscrew the stabilizer bar mounting clamps, loosen the nuts or bolts connecting the rod and the link (front) or strut (rear) and move the rod (Section 10).
4. When installing the exhaust system, replace the flange seals and rubber hangers as necessary. Make sure that no parts of the system will contact adjacent body parts or suspension when deflected within the full range of movement of the flexible mount. Note the location of the ground strap on the center flange bolt.
