2. Check the system sections and their joints for signs of exhaust gas leaks, corrosion and mechanical damage. Make sure fasteners are securely tightened. Check the condition and strength of the brackets and rubber hangers of the system components.

3. At the same time, inspect the bottom of the vehicle for holes, signs of corrosion, divergence of welds and other damage that allows exhaust gases to enter the vehicle interior. Seal any openings found with silicone or regular body putty.
4. Rumble and many other extraneous noises while driving are often the result of loosening of the fasteners of the components of the exhaust system, or the displacement of its sections. Carefully check the condition of the brackets and suspensions, pull the pipes, muffler and catalytic converter, checking if they are in contact with the elements of the bottom or suspension. If necessary, replace the system support components.
5. By the appearance of the cut of the exhaust pipe, the general operating condition of the engine can be estimated with a high degree of certainty. The consistency and color of the deposits covering the end of the pipe reveal violations of the engine adjustments. If the pipe is covered with black sooty deposits, or a whitish coating has formed on it, the engine, along with the power system, needs to be tuned.
