2. Release the pressure in the fuel system (see Chapter Power and exhaust systems), then disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
3. Release the filter from the mounting spring clamp and disconnect the inlet and outlet fuel lines from it.

4. Pay attention to the markings on the connection points to the filter of the inlet and outlet fuel lines. A correctly installed filter should be turned with the outlet fitting upward.
5. Attach the fuel inlet and outlet lines to the assembly, making sure the clamps are securely tightened. Connect the negative cable to the battery, start the engine, and check the filter and fuel lines for signs of fuel leaks.
