1. Park the vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Unscrew the filter housing with its wrench (Some engine models may require a special wrench with cap chuck. Please contact your Nissan dealer if you have any questions about this). Remove the filter housing by completely unscrewing it by hand.
CAREFULLY! Be careful as the engine oil may be hot.
4. Wipe the filter seat with a clean cloth. Remove the old rubber gasket from the engine seat.
5. Lubricate the rubber gasket of the new filter with new engine oil.
6. Screw in the filter to a slight resistance and tighten another 2/3 of a turn.
7. Start the engine. Inspect the filter seat for leaks. If necessary, adjust it.
8. Stop the engine and wait a few minutes. Measure the oil level. Top up if necessary.
CAREFULLY!
- Prolonged and frequent contact with used engine oil causes skin damage, dermatitis and skin cancer.
- Avoid direct skin contact with used engine oil. If the oil comes into contact with the skin, wash the affected area thoroughly.
- Store used engine oil out of the reach of children.
