2. Let the engine run until it warms up to operating temperature and shut it down.
3. Place a container under the drain plug to drain.
4. Remove the oil filler cap.
5. Remove the drain plug with a wrench and drain the oil completely.
If there is a need to replace the oil filter, then it is better to do this along with an oil change. Refer to subsection "Oil filter replacement".
CAREFULLY! The engine oil is drained when it is hot. Therefore, be careful when handling it.
6. Clean and reinstall drain plug and washer. Tighten the plug tightly with a wrench. Drain plug tightening torque 29-39 Nm. (3-4 kgf·m). Do not tighten the plug more than necessary.
7. Fill the engine with the recommended type of oil and tighten the cap securely. The amount of oil to be filled is indicated in chapter "Technical information".
8. Start the engine. Inspect the drain plug for leaks. If necessary, adjust it.
9. Stop the engine and wait a few minutes. Then measure the oil level with a dipstick. Top up if necessary.
Precautions for handling used engine oil.
Prolonged and frequent contact with used engine oil causes skin damage, dermatitis and skin cancer.
Avoid direct skin contact with used engine oil. If the oil comes into contact with the skin, wash the affected area thoroughly.
Keep used engine oil out of the reach of children.

ATTENTION! Oil pollution of drains, rivers and soil is illegal.
Oil must be drained at special waste disposal points or at technical workshops adapted to receive used oil and oil filters. For information on the disposal of used oil, please contact your local competent authorities. It is recommended to have the engine oil changed at a Nissan dealer.
