- Disconnect the vent hose and air mass meter connector (air flow meter).
- Disconnect the air supply hose from the resonator and unscrew the resonator.
- Remove the air hose from the inlet tube.
- After removing the air filter, check to see if it is dirty or clogged. Knock out the dust or blow out the air filter with air.
- Wipe the housing with a damp cloth and install a new filter element.
- Replace the air filter if it is heavily soiled.

Dry paper filter

Caution: When driving in dusty areas, clean the filter element with compressed air (in the direction opposite to the normal air flow) or replace it more frequently.
- Reinstall all removed parts.
