Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the wiper arms. See above.

2. Remove the hood grille cover. See chapter "Interior and exterior body equipment".
3. Remove the windshield wiper drive assembly bolts.
4. Disconnect the connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove the windshield wiper drive assembly from the vehicle.
Installation
1. Install the windshield wiper drive assembly onto the vehicle.
2. Connect the connector to the wiper motor.
3. Turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto stop).
4. Install the hood grille cover. See chapter "Equipment of the interior and exterior of the car".
5. Install the wiper arms. See above.
Disassembly and assembly
Disassembly
1. Remove wiper rods 1 and 2 from the windshield wiper drive assembly.
Caution: When removing the windshield wiper rod, be careful not to bend the rod or damage the plastic part of the ball joint.
2. Loosen the wiper motor mounting screws and remove it from the frame.
Assembly
1. Connect the connector to the wiper motor.
2. Turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto stop).
3. Disconnect the connector from the wiper motor.
4. Install the engine with the cleaner on the frame.
5. Install wiper rod 2 onto the engine and wiper frame.
6. Install the wiper rod 1 onto the wiper frame.
Attention:
- Do not drop the wiper motor or hit it against other parts.
- Check if there is grease on the wiper motor and wiper linkage (from the retainer side). If necessary, apply general purpose grease or equivalent.
