Removal and installation brushes
1. Raise the wiper arm to a locked vertical position, moving it away from the glass.
2. Release the locking clamp and remove the brush from the lever.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Make sure that the locking device snaps into place securely.
Replacement of working elements of brushes
1. Remove the brush from the lever.
2. Grasp the rubber band of the working element from the support end and pull it, releasing it from the retainer on the brush. Moving it to the side, remove the element from the brush (see accompanying illustration).
3. Place the steel skids on the working element and pass it through the brush clamps, resting it against the end clamp.
4. Lubricate the end of the element and snap it tightly into the end retainer of the brush.
5. Install the brush on the lever.
Removal and installation windshield wiper arms
Removal
1. Remove the protective cover from the lever mounting nut.
2. Loosen the nut securing the lever to the axle.
3. Carefully pry the lever off the axle (see accompanying illustration).

Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
1. Move the drive motor to the parking position and align the brushes, placing them 20÷30 mm above the windshield sealing strip.
2. Tighten the nut securely.
Removal and installation the windshield wiper drive electric motor
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the motor electrical connector.
3. Remove the mounting bolts (see accompanying illustration) and partially remove the motor from the bulkhead.
4. Disconnect the rod from the motor lever and remove the latter from the car.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
1. Check that the rod is securely fastened to the motor lever.
2. Tighten all fasteners securely.
3. Check the condition of the contacts and the reliability of the electrical connector.
Removal and installation the windshield wiper drive rod
1. Remove the windshield wiper arms.
2. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the front fairing panel from the vehicle.
3. Remove the bolts securing the wiper arm axles.
4. Disconnect the rod from the electric motor.
5. Remove the rod through the hole under the fairing panel.
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
