Cleaning
If the windshield remains opaque after turning on the washer or the wiper blades rattle during operation, the windshield or the wiper blades themselves may be contaminated with wax-like or other substances. Wash the outer surface of the windshield with washer fluid or a neutral detergent. If the windshield is clean, no drops will form on it when rinsed with clean water. Wipe the wiper blades with a cloth soaked in a solution of washer fluid or a neutral detergent. Rinse the blades with clean water. If the quality of cleaning the windshield by the wiper remains unsatisfactory after this, replace the blades.
Attention.
- After replacing the blades, return the wiper arms to their original position. Otherwise, you may scratch or damage the wiper arms or the hood when opening.
- Make sure that the blades are lying on the surface of the windshield. Otherwise, the wiper arm may be damaged by the high-speed air flow.
- Do not open the hood if the windshield wiper arms are in the wiper blade replacement position, otherwise you may damage the hood paintwork.
Replacing Windshield Wiper Blades
1. Pull the wiper arm up.
2. Press the side latches of the brush (1) as shown in the figure. Then remove the brush from the lever.
3. Install the new wiper blade in reverse order.
4. Lower the wiper arm to its original position.
Rear Window Wiper Blade
Replacing the rear window wiper blade
1. Raise the wiper arm
2. Gently turn the brush clockwise until it releases from the lock.
3. Place the new blade onto the wiper arm until the latch clicks into place.
4. Lower the wiper arm to its original position.
Windscreen washer nozzles
Make sure that the windscreen washer nozzles (A) are not clogged with anything. Otherwise, the operation of the windscreen washer may be impaired. If the nozzles are clogged, they must be cleaned with a needle or pin (B). Be careful not to damage the nozzle when cleaning.
