General maintenance
General maintenance includes components that should be checked during normal daily vehicle operation. They are essential to maintaining the vehicle in good working order. Owners can perform the checks themselves or have their NISSAN dealer perform them.
Outside the car
Unless otherwise noted, the following components should be checked periodically.
| Component | |
| Tires | Check the tire pressure periodically with a pressure gauge, including the spare tire when you visit a service station, and top up the pressure if necessary. Check carefully for damage, cuts, or excessive wear. |
| Windshield wiper blades | If they are not working properly, check for cracks or wear |
| Doors and hood | Make sure all doors, hood, trunk lid, and tailgate open and close properly. Also make sure all latches lock securely. Lubricate them if necessary. Make sure the secondary latch prevents the hood from opening when the primary latch is released. Check frequently for sufficient lubrication when driving on roads that contain salt or other corrosive materials. |
| Tire rotation | Tire rotation should be performed on 2WD models every 10,000 km, on 4WD models - every 5,000 km |
