Outside the car
Unless otherwise noted, the following components should be checked periodically.
| Component | |
| Tires | Check the tire pressure, including the spare tire, periodically with a pressure gauge when you visit a service station. If necessary, increase the pressure to the required level. Check carefully for damage, cuts or excessive wear. |
| Windshield wiper blades | If they are not working properly, check for cracks or wear. |
| Doors and hood | Make sure all doors, engine hood, tailgate, and glass lid open and close properly. Also make sure all latches lock securely. Lubricate them if necessary. Make sure the secondary latch prevents the hood from opening when the primary latch is released. Check for lubrication more frequently when driving on roads that are salted or otherwise corrosive. |
| Tire rotation | Tires should be rotated every 10,000 km. |
Inside the car
The following components should be checked regularly, such as when performing periodic maintenance, washing the vehicle, etc.
| Component | |
| Lanterns | Make sure that the headlights, brake lights, tail lights, turn signals and other lights are working properly and are securely installed. Also check the aim of the headlights. |
| Control lamps and sound signaling | Check that all indicator lights and buzzers/horns are working properly. |
| Steering wheel | Check for changes in steering operation, such as excessive play, difficulty turning the steering wheel, or unusual sounds. Play: Less than 35 mm. |
| Seat belts | Make sure all seat belt components (buckles, fasteners, regulators and inertia reels) are working properly and are installed securely. Make sure the belts are not cut, abraded, worn or damaged. |
Under the hood and under the bottom of the car
The following components should be checked periodically, such as when checking the oil level or refueling.
| Component | |
| Windshield washer fluid | Make sure the reservoir is filled with the correct fluid. |
| Engine coolant level | Check the coolant level when the engine is cold. |
| Engine oil level | Check the level by stopping the vehicle on a level surface and turning off the engine. |
| Brake and Clutch Fluid Levels | Make sure the brake fluid and clutch fluid levels are between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks on the reservoir. |
| Battery | Check the electrolyte level in each element. The level should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks. |
