Adjusting the starter interlock switch (Nissan Primera P10)

The starter interlock switch ensures that the engine starts only in the "N" and "P" lever positions and also serves to turn on the reversing lights. For this reason, this adjustment is important:

1. Loosen the switch mounting bolts.

2. Set the shift lever to the "N" position.

3. Insert a 4.0mm diameter round rod into the adjustment hole of the switch and the lever shown in the illustration below and tighten the bolts again.
