Air intake and resonator unit — removal and installation (Nissan Bluebird T12)

1. A series of molded plastic or rubber passages are used to route the intake air from the air cleaner and air flow meter to the turbo generator and from the turbo generator to the intake manifold or IAA unit.

2. Note that whenever you separate parts of the air intake duct system, always cover the open holes with a clean cloth to prevent dirt from getting in. Remember to remove the cloth when reassembling.

3. To remove any part of the pipe system, loosen the clamps securing each end, unscrew the mounting brackets on the front panel of the body (where equipped) and take out the pipe.

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Where a rubber seal or gasket (photo) is used, check that it is correctly positioned on the mating surface.
