2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Drain the coolant from the cooling system, disconnect the cooling system hoses from the throttle body and intake manifold. The thermostat and cover will be removed with the manifold.
4. Remove the pipe connecting the turbo generator to the air intake and the bypass pipe of the IAA block.
5. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
6. Disconnect the wiring from the throttle valve switch, all injectors, coolant temperature sensor, air regulator and 1AA block.
7. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator, vacuum booster, move the vacuum sensor hoses away from the intake manifold (photo).
49.7. Pressure regulator vacuum hose 'A', sensor unit vacuum hose 'B', vacuum booster hose 'C', fuel supply 'O' and return 'E' hoses
8. Relieve the pressure in the fuel system and disconnect the fuel supply hoses.
9. Note that the pressure regulator/fuel rail assembly, throttle body and IAA unit can be removed along with the intake manifold if required.

10. Disconnect the spark plug wires and the PCV valve oil separator hose.
11. Unscrew the nuts and bolts and remove the manifold from the cylinder head struts. Remove the gasket.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Tighten the manifold nuts and bolts to the tightening torque specified in Specifications. Fill the cooling system.
