Removal and installation
Removal
Caution: The bumper cornice is made of plastic. Do not apply too much force to it or allow oil to come into contact with it.
1. Open the rear door fully.
2. Remove the rear mudguard (left/right) and rear corner molding (left/right). See below.
3. Remove the plug (1), then remove the mounting screw (A) from the rear bumper (left/right).
4. Remove the retaining clips (A) and unscrew the bolts (B) on the side of the rear bumper (left/right).
5. Remove the upper mounting screws (A) from the rear bumper (left/right).
6. Pull the rear bumper and disengage it from the side brackets "B" (1) and "C" (2).
7. Remove the clips from the bottom of the rear bumper and remove the bumper cornice towards the rear of the vehicle.
8. Disconnect the connectors from the rear fog light (A) and the reversing light (B).
9 Remove the rear bumper cornice assembly.
Attention:
- Remove the bumper cornice with a partner so as not to drop it.
- Remove the mounting nuts from the bumper stiffener, then remove the stiffener.
11. Remove the mounting bolts from the bumper pillar, then remove the pillar.
12. After removing the rear bumper cornice, remove the following components:
- rear bumper side holder (left/right);
- rear bumper side bracket "A" (left/right);
- side bracket "B" of the rear bumper (left/right);
- side bracket "C" of the rear bumper (left/right);
- lower side molding of the rear bumper;
- reflector (left/right);
- rear fog light assembly, see chapter "Driver controlled instruments";
- reversing light, see chapter "Driver controlled instruments".
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Please adjust the fit after installation.
