Removal and installation
Removal
Attention.
- To avoid damage to components during removal and installation, cover them with rags.
- Before removing the front seat, turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position, disconnect both cables from the battery and wait at least 3 minutes.
Note: Check the location of the connectors before performing work.
1. Remove the headrest.
2. Remove the rear covers of the outer and inner seat guides.
3. Remove the rear inner TORX mounting bolt.
4. Remove the rear outer TORX mounting bolt.
5. Remove the front covers of the outer and inner seat guides.
6. Remove the front outer TORX mounting bolt.
7. Remove the front inner TORX mounting bolt.
8. Bring the backrest to a vertical position.
9. Disconnect the connector under the seat and remove the wiring harness retaining clips.
10. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Attention:
- Before installation, turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position, disconnect both cables from the battery and wait at least 3 minutes.
- Secure the wiring with clamps.
Disassembly and assembly
Seat back (with manual drive)
Disassembly
1. Photo of the lumbar support lever handle (only on the driver's seat).
- Hook the hook onto the locking ring (1), pull it upward and remove the lumbar support lever handle (2) from the seatback frame.

2. Remove the seat back trim and padding.
- Remove the holder (1) from the back of the seat back.
- Unfasten the fastener (2) from the back of the seat back.

- Remove the seat back holder (3).
- Disconnect the connectors (A) and remove the wiring clamp.

- Remove the airbag module retaining nut (B).

- Remove the headrest retainer.
Caution: Before installing the headrest retainer, check the installation direction of the front, rear, right and left.

- Remove the backrest trim and padding from the seat back frame.
- Remove the airbag module.
- Unfasten the wire rings and separate the trim from the stuffing.
3. Remove the seat back squeaker.
Assembly
Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly.
Caution: Install the seat back trim wire rings in place, then securely connect the trim or trim cord to the wire on the padding side.
Seat cushion (with manual drive)
Disassembly
Caution: Do not disassemble the front passenger seat cushion. Always replace it as a set. For information on parts for the front passenger seat cushion, see the relevant catalog.
1. Remove the outer seat cushion trim.
- Disengage the latches and remove the lift lever handle trim (1) (only on the driver's seat).
- Remove the mounting screws and lift lever handle (2) (only on the driver's seat).

- Pull the tilt lever handle out of engagement with the latch and remove it.

- Remove screw (A).
- Disengage the metal clips and latches and remove the outer seat cushion trim.

2. Remove the seat belt buckle.
3. Remove the seat cushion interior trim.
- Disengage the metal clips and latches and remove the seat cushion interior trim.

4. Remove the seat cushion trim and padding.
- Remove the seat cushion holder.
- Disconnect the connector from the heater (A).
- Disconnect the connector from the passenger detection unit (B) (only on the passenger seat).

- Remove the cushion trim and padding from the seat cushion frame.
- Unfasten the wire rings and separate the trim from the stuffing (only on the driver's seat).
5. Remove the outer and inner tilt mechanism covers.
6. Remove the outer seat rail trim (only on the driver's seat).
- Disengage the metal clips and remove the outer seat track trim.

7. Remove the seat rail interior trim (only on the driver's seat).
- Disengage the metal clips and remove the seat track interior trim.

Assembly
Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly.
Caution: Install the seat cushion trim wire rings in place, then securely connect the trim or trim cord to the wire on the padding side.
Seat back (with electric drive)
Disassembly
1. Remove the outer seat cushion trim.
- Using the puller (A), remove the seat forward/backward and seat cushion up/down lift switch handle (1) and the seatback tilt switch handle (2).

- Disengage the metal clips and latches and remove the outer seat cushion trim.

- Remove the seat switches. See below.
2. Remove the seat belt buckle.
3. Remove the seat cushion interior trim.
- Disengage the metal clips and latches and remove the seat cushion interior trim.
4. Remove the lumbar support lever handle (only on the driver's seat).

- Hook the hook onto the locking ring (1), pull up and remove the lumbar support lever handle (2) from the seatback frame.

5. Remove the seat back trim and padding.
- Remove the holder (1) from the back of the seat back.
- Unfasten the fastener (2) from the back of the seat back.

- Remove the seat back holder (3).
- Disconnect the connectors (A) and remove the wiring clamp.

- Remove the airbag module retaining nut (B).

- Remove the headrest retainer.
Caution: Before installing the headrest retainer, check the installation direction of front, rear, right and left.

- Remove the backrest trim and padding from the seat back frame.
- Remove the airbag module.
- Unfasten the wire rings and separate the trim from the stuffing.
6. Remove the seat back squeaker.
7. Remove the seat back frame.
- Remove the seat back frame mounting bolts (A).

Assembly
Assembly is performed in the reverse order of disassembly.
Caution: Install the seat back trim wire rings in place, then securely connect the trim or trim cord to the wire on the padding side.
Seat cushion (with electric drive)
Disassembly
Caution: Do not disassemble the front passenger seat cushion. Always replace it as a set. For information on parts for the front passenger seat cushion, see the relevant catalog.
1. Remove the outer seat cushion trim.
- Using the puller (A), remove the seat forward/backward and lift switch handle, seat cushion up/down switch handle (1) and seatback tilt switch handle (2).

- Disengage the metal clips and latches and remove the outer seat cushion trim.

- Remove the seat switches. See below.
2. Remove the seat belt buckle.
3. Remove the seat cushion interior trim.
- Disengage the metal clips and latches and remove the outer seat cushion trim.

4. Remove the seat back assembly.
- Remove the mounting bolts (A) from the seat back connectors.

5. Remove the seat cushion trim and padding.
- Remove the seat cushion holder.
- Disconnect the connector from the heater (A).

- Disconnect the connector from the passenger detection unit (B) (only on the passenger seat).
- Remove the trim and padding from the seat cushion assembly.
- Unfasten the wire rings and separate the trim from the stuffing (only in the driver's seat).
6. Remove the outer and inner tilt mechanism covers.
7. Remove the outer seat guide trim (only on the driver's seat).
- Disengage the metal clips and remove the outer seat track trim.

- Remove the seat rail interior trim (only on the driver's seat).
- Disengage the metal clips and remove the seat track interior trim.

9. Remove the front seat cushion trim.
Assembly
