When removing the instrument panel assembly, instrument cluster, and center console audio system, perform the operations in the order indicated by the numbers below.

Removal
1. Move the selector lever to the drive position (only on models with automatic transmission and CVT).
2. Remove the handle from the selector lever (only on models with automatic transmission).
3. Remove the handle from the selector lever (only on models with CVT). See chapter "Continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT)".
4. Remove the handle from the gear shift lever (only on models with manual transmission). See chapter "Clutch and manual transmission".
5. Remove the console trim.
- Remove the clips at the rear of the console trim, then disengage the latch at the front. Pull the front console trim up and out of the center console.
- Disconnect the connectors.
6. Using a long-head wrench (A), turn the adjusting nut to loosen the cable sufficiently.
7. Remove the lower instrument panel covers (left/right).
- Pull up by grasping the lower cover of the instrument panel from the back side and unhook the rear ones by the latches.
- Pull back and unhook the bottom cover from the dashboard.

8. Remove the front center console mounting screws (A) (left/right).
9. Remove the rear center console mounting screws (A) (left/right).
10. Disconnect the console intermediate wiring connectors and remove the center console assembly.
11. Remove the front door opening trim (left), the front side body panel border (left), the side trim of the engine compartment bulkhead (left), the front pillar trim (left). See above.
12. Remove the steering wheel. See chapter "Steering wheel".
13. Remove the steering column covers.
- Remove the steering column lock cover (1).
- Remove the top cover from the steering column (2).
- Remove the mounting screws (3) and remove the lower cover from the steering column.
- Remove the protective cover of the inner instrument panel cover (4).
14. Remove the headlight and turn signal switch.
15. Remove the wiper and washer switch.
16. Remove the instrument cluster cover "A".
- Pull the instrument cluster cover "A" (1)
17. Remove the instrument cluster. See the chapter "Driver information system and audio system".
18. Remove the screws (A) located on the back of the instrument cluster.
19. Remove the instrument panel mask.
- Using the puller (A), release the fastening latches (1) of the instrument panel mask.
- Disconnect the connector from the sensor.
20. Remove the left side instrument panel trim.
- Insert the puller (A) from below the trim.
- Remove the left side instrument panel trim (1) crosswise.
21. Remove the left speaker grille.
- Using the puller (A), release the left speaker grille retaining clips (1).
- Remove the left speaker grille (1).
22. Remove the bolt (A) located on the back of the left speaker grille.
23. Remove the left tweeter (if any).
24. Remove the left cup holder assembly (see fig.).
- Remove the mounting screws (A) of the left cup holder assembly (1).
- Pull the left cup holder assembly (1) up and out of engagement with the instrument panel.
25. Remove the screw (A) located on the back of the left cup holder assembly.
26. Remove the instrument cluster cover "C".
- Using the puller (A), unhook the fastening latches and clips on the instrument cluster "C" pads (1) from the instrument panel, moving from the bottom up.
- Disconnect the connector.
27. Remove the audio system.
- See the chapter "Driver information system and audio system".
28. Remove the instrument panel center container assembly.
- Using the puller (A), release the retaining clips and metal clips of the instrument panel center container assembly (1).
- Remove the instrument panel center container assembly.
29. Remove the instrument panel center bracket mounting screws and remove it.
30. Remove the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side.
- Remove the mounting screw (A) of the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side (1).
- Pull back the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side (1).
- Remove the hood release lever (2).
- See the Doors and Locks section below.
- Disconnect the data connector (B).
- Disconnect the connector from the interior temperature sensor (C).
31. Remove the screw (A) located on the back of the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side.
32. Unclip the footwell duct retaining clip (A) (1) from the instrument panel.
33. Remove the front door opening trim (right), front body side panel border (right), engine compartment bulkhead side trim (right), front pillar trim (right). See above.
34. Remove the right side trim from the instrument panel.
- Insert the puller (a) from below the trim.
- Remove the right side instrument panel trim (1) crosswise.
35. Remove the right speaker grille.
- Using the puller (A), release the right speaker grille retaining clips (1).
- Remove the right speaker grille (1).
36. Remove the bolt (A) located on the back of the right speaker grille.
37. Remove the right tweeter (if any).
38. Remove the right cup holder assembly.
- Remove the mounting screws (A) of the right cup holder assembly (1).
- Pull the right cup holder assembly (1) up and out of engagement with the instrument panel.
39. Remove the screw (A) located on the back of the right cup holder assembly (see fig.).
25. Remove the screw (A) located on the back of the left cup holder assembly.
26. Remove the instrument cluster cover "C".
- Using the puller (A), unhook the fastening latches and clips on the instrument cluster "C" pads (1) from the instrument panel, moving from the bottom up.
- Disconnect the connector
27. Remove the audio system.
- See the chapter "Driver information system and audio system".
28. Remove the instrument panel center container assembly.
- Using the puller (A), release the retaining clips and metal clips of the instrument panel center container assembly (1).
- Remove the instrument panel center container assembly.
29. Remove the instrument panel center bracket mounting screws and remove it.
30. Remove the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side.
- Remove the mounting screw (A) from the driver's side instrument panel section (1).
- Pull back the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side (1).
- Remove the hood release lever (2). See section below "Doors and locks".
- Disconnect the data connector (B).
- Disconnect the connector from the interior temperature sensor (C).
31. Remove the screw (A) located on the back of the lower section of the instrument panel on the driver's side.
32. Unclip the footwell duct retaining clip (A) (1) from the instrument panel.
33. Remove the front door opening trim (right), front body side panel border (right), engine compartment bulkhead side trim (right), front pillar trim (right). See above.
34. Remove the right side instrument panel trim.
- Insert the puller (A) from below the trim.
- Remove the right side instrument panel trim (1) crosswise.
35. Remove the right speaker grille.
- Using the puller (A), release the right speaker grille retaining clips (1).
- Remove the right speaker grille (1).
36. Remove the bolt (A) located on the back of the right speaker grille.
37. Remove the right tweeter (if any).
38. Remove the right cup holder assembly.
- Remove the mounting screws (A) of the right cup holder assembly (1).
- Pull the right cup holder assembly (1) up and out of engagement with the instrument panel.
39. Remove the screw (A) located on the back of the right cup holder assembly.
