Removal
Note: When reconnecting the coil wire, secure the wire with tape so that the fixed body and the moving part are aligned. This will save you from having to perform the neutral position check procedure when installing the coil wire.
1. Set the front wheels to the straight-ahead position.
2. Remove the driver's airbag module. See Chapter "Security system".
3. Loosen the steering wheel lock nut after locking the steering column.
4. Remove the steering wheel using the puller (A) (special tool ST27180001)
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Caution: Do not tighten the coiled wire unnecessarily. And do not turn it more than necessary (the wire may come off).
Note: After replacing or rotating the coil wire, make sure it is in the neutral position. See chapter "Security system".
