1. Make sure that the steering gear assembly, steering column and steering wheel are installed correctly.
2. Perform a neutral position check after checking the front wheel alignment angles. Refer to Chapter "Front axle and suspension".
3. Turn the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position and make sure it is in neutral.
4. If the steering wheel does not reach the neutral position, loosen the outer tie rod ends locknuts and adjust by turning the inner tie rod ends in opposite directions until the distance on the left and right becomes the same.
