Headlight leveling corrector (Nissan X-Trail T31)

Manual mode

• The headlight beam adjuster only works when the ignition is on (ignition key ON position) and the headlights are on. It is designed to adjust the direction of the headlights in accordance with traffic conditions.
• If the vehicle is not carrying a heavy load or the vehicle is moving on a horizontal road, set the corrector control to position.
• If the number of passengers and cargo/luggage in the vehicle changes, the direction of the headlight beams may become higher than normal.
• In this case, the headlights may have a blinding effect on oncoming drivers (especially when driving on hilly terrain).
• To ensure the correct aiming of the headlights, turn the regulator to the appropriate position (see table below). The higher the number on the regulator scale, the lower the beam of light from the headlights will be directed.
