The windshield wiper and washer can only operate when the ignition is on.
Windshield wiper control
In position (1) of the control lever, the wiper operates in intermittent mode. When operating in this mode, the wiper frequency is adjusted by turning the lever in direction (A) (acceleration) or (B) (slowdown).
Automatic mode
- The frequency of the intermittent wiper operation also changes depending on the vehicle speed (if any).
- In position (2) of the lever, the windshield wiper operates at a low frequency.
- In position (3) the windshield wiper operates at high frequency.
- In position (4) of the control lever, the windshield wiper blades make one stroke. After this, the control lever automatically returns to its original position.

Windshield washer control
To stop the windshield wiper, move the control lever to the OFF position. To turn on the windshield washer, pull the control lever towards you to position (5). Headlight washer (if any) will be automatically turned on every 15th windshield washer cycle.
