Attention:
- Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. High-pressure coolant squirting out of the radiator can cause serious burns.
- Wrap the cap with a thick cloth. Slowly unscrew the cap a quarter turn and release the pressure. Then unscrew the cap the rest of the way.
1. Remove the engine protection from the bottom.
2. Unscrew the plug (1) from the drain hole at the bottom of the radiator and remove the radiator cap.
Perform this operation when the engine is cold.
- When draining the coolant from the system, remove the plugs from the drain holes in the cylinder block. See chapter "Lubrication system and liquid cooling system".
3. If necessary, remove the reservoir, drain the coolant and clean the reservoir before installation.
- It is necessary to remove the insulator of the right engine mount. See chapter "Mechanical part of the engine".
- Slide the tank (3) and remove it in the order indicated by the numbers in the figure.

4. Check the drained coolant for contaminants such as rust, corrosion and color changes. If there are any signs of contamination, flush the engine cooling system. See below.
