Removal and installation
Removal
Caution: Avoid burning yourself with hot engine oil and engine coolant.
1. Remove the front right wheel.
2. Drain the coolant by unscrewing the drain plugs in the cylinder block and on the radiator. See below and chapter "Mechanical part of the engine".
3. Remove the mounting bolts from the oil cooler.
4. Disconnect the water hoses from the oil radiator.
5. Remove the oil cooler.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Check after removal
Oil radiator
Check for cracks in the oil cooler. Check for clogs in the oil cooler by blowing air through the coolant inlet. Replace the oil cooler if necessary.
Post-installation check.
1. Check engine oil and engine coolant levels and top up.
2. Start the engine and check for engine oil or engine coolant leaks.
3. Turn off the engine and wait 10 minutes.
4. Check the engine oil and engine coolant levels again.
