Oil pump 1. Front cover (integrated with the oil pump housing); 2. External gear; 3. Internal gear; 4. Oil pump cover; 5. Pressure reducing valve; 6. Pressure reducing valve spring; 7. Plug of the pressure reducing valve.
Disassembly and assembly
Disassembly
1. Remove the oil pump cover.
2. Remove the oil pump inner and outer gears from the front cover.
3. After unscrewing the plug of the pressure reducing valve, remove the spring and valve.
Assembly
Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following.
- Install the internal and external gears with the marks stamped on the side of the oil pump cover.

Checking after disassembly
Clearances between oil pump components
- Measure the gap with a feeler gauge. The gap between the outer gear and the front cover (position "1").
Standard: See below. "Technical data and specifications".
- The gap between the teeth of the outer and inner gears of the oil pump (position "2").
Standard: See below. "Technical data and specifications".
- Measure the gap using a feeler gauge and ruler.
Lateral clearance between the internal gear and the front cover (position "3").
Lateral clearance between outer gear and front cover (position "4").
Standard: See below. "Technical data and specifications".

- Calculate the clearance between the internal gear and the oil pump housing as follows.
Front Cover Inner Diameter: Using a micrometer, measure the outer diameter of the protruding portion of the internal gear (position "5").

Removal and installation
Removal
Remove the front cover. See chapter "Mechanical part of the engine".
Note: The oil pump is built into the front cover.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- When installing, align the flat faces of the crankshaft with the flat faces of the internal gear of the oil pump.
The outer diameter of the internal gear of the oil pump.
Using a bore gauge, measure the inside diameter of the front cover (by marking "6").

Clearance between oil pump internal gear and front cover (Clearance) = (inner diameter of the front cover) - (oil pump internal gear outer diameter).
Standard: See below. "Technical data and specifications"
- If the measured/calculated gap is different from the standard, replace the front cover.
Pressure reducing valve clearance
(Gap) = (valve hole diameter) - (outside diameter of the valve).

Standard: See below under "Technical data and specifications".
- If the measured/calculated gap is different from the standard, replace the front cover.
Attention:
- Apply engine oil to the pressure relief valve.
- Make sure the valve drops freely into the valve hole under its own weight.
Post-installation check
1. Check the oil level. See above.
2. Start the engine and check for engine oil leaks.
3. Turn off the engine and wait 10 minutes.
4. Check the oil level and top it up to normal. See above.
