Fan motor mounting elements
1 - fan impeller; 2 - casing; 3 — fan electric motor.
Removal
- Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Note: This will erase any fault information from the on-board computer memory.
- Disconnect the fan cable plug connection.
- Remove the fan impeller from the electric motor.
- Remove the fan motor from the fan housing.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply thread sealant to fan motor shafts before installation.
- Tighten the fan motor mounting bolts to 3.9-4.9 N·m.
- Tighten the fan impeller mounting nuts to a torque of 2.9-3.9 N·m.
