To check the oil pressure in the lubrication system, unscrew the pressure sensor and connect a pressure gauge using an adapter. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature (until the temperature sensor readings are set to the middle of the range). The oil temperature is set at 80°C.
Measure the oil pressure in the system at idle and at 3000 rpm. The oil pressure in the system when the engine is idling should be about 0.8 kg/cm, and when the engine is running at 3000 rpm - in the range of 3.5-4.5 kg/cm with slight deviations for a specific engine. After measuring, remove the pressure gauge and install the oil pressure sensor.
If the oil pressure in the system is below the specified limits, determine and correct the cause.
