Troubleshooting — Automatic Transmission (Nissan Bluebird T12)

In the event of transmission damage not related to the fluid level or adjustments described in this Section, it is first necessary to determine whether the damage is mechanical or hydraulic. To do this, the transmission must be in the vehicle. This requires special test equipment and knowledge of test techniques, so we recommend that you entrust the work to a suitably equipped Nissan dealer or an automatic transmission specialist.

Do not remove the transmission from the vehicle for repair or rebuild until professional troubleshooting has been performed.
