Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the rear drive shafts. See chapter "Rear axle and suspension".
2. Remove the axle shaft seals using a flat-blade screwdriver.
Caution: Do not damage the differential housing and rear cover.
Installation
1. Press in the axle shaft seals using a punch (A) (special tool: KV38100200) so that they are flush with the end surface of the crankcase.

Attention:
- Do not reuse axle shaft seals.
- When pressing in, do not allow the seals to become skewed.
- Apply universal grease to the lips of the seal, and apply transmission oil around the circumference of the seal.
2. Install the rear drive shafts. See chapter "Rear axle and suspension".
3. If oil leakage was observed during removal, check the oil level after installation. See above.
