Keys and locks - general information
1. The standard equipment of the car includes two sets of keys - the main one and the additional one. The main key is used to unlock all locks on the car, the additional one does not fit the locks of the glove box and luggage compartment and is usually handed over to the car service employee where the car is driven away for repair or maintenance.
2. The keys are supplied with a label with a serial identification number, which should be stored in a safe place and kept outside the vehicle. According to the information on the label, a replacement set of keys can always be ordered from a Nissan dealership in case of loss.
Note. It would be wise to copy the information number from the label into a notebook.
3. If the car is equipped with a Nissan NATS V2.0 original anti-theft system with engine immobilizer, only a special NATS branded key, which is also assigned an identification number, will work with it. Any new key must be matched with the NATS anti-theft device - contact Nissan Authorized Service Stations. During the alignment procedure, all information previously stored there is erased from the device's memory.
4. To lock the door with a key, insert it into the keyhole located on the facing of the outer handle and turn it counterclockwise (unlocking is done by turning the key in the opposite direction). When the driver's door is locked, all the doors of the car are locked at the same time.
5. If the ignition key is left in the lock, it is not possible to lock the driver's door from the outside. To lock the passenger doors without a key from the outside, move the lock lever to the position "blocked" and slam the door.
Additional blocking of the rear door lock
1. The lock prevents accidental opening of the rear doors, which is especially important when young children are in the car.
2. With the lock lever in the LOCK position, the rear door can only be opened from outside the vehicle.
Single electric lock
General information
A single electric lock provides the ability to simultaneously lock or unlock all door locks using a single key located on the driver's door control panel, or by locking / unlocking the driver's door from the outside with a key.
The control panel on the armrest of the driver's door has a master switch for a single lock, with which you can also lock all doors except the driver's.
Remote control of a single electric lock
1. The single electric lock system allows remote locking and unlocking of door locks, including the luggage compartment lid lock, and turning on / off the interior interior lighting. Remote control (DU) made in the form of a key fob, to which the main key of the car clings. 2. Remote control malfunctions may be caused by the following reasons:
- a) The key is in the ignition;
- b) The battery level of the remote control battery has dropped;
- c) The distance between the remote control and the car is more than 1 m.
Locking
1. Remove the key from the ignition, close all doors.
2. Press the door lock button on the remote control. The serviceability of locking the doors is confirmed visually by the signal lamp of the anti-theft system. It will not be superfluous to make sure by checking the reliability of locking the doors manually.
Unlocking
1. Press the door unlock button on the remote control - the activators of all locks should work.
2. If the interior light switch is set to the middle position, the interior lights will turn on for 30 seconds.
3. If none of the doors are opened or no button is pressed on the remote control within 30 seconds after unlocking, all doors will automatically lock.
4. The interior lighting of the cabin can be turned off without waiting for the end of the agreed period (30 seconds). To do this, insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it to the ON position, or lock the doors using the remote control. You can also use the interior lighting switch.
Unlocking the luggage compartment lid
1. Press the button for unlocking the luggage compartment lid on the remote control - the corresponding activator should work.
Note. Do not hold the button down for more than one second. 2. The luggage compartment lid cannot be opened using the remote control if the lock lever of its lock is turned to the position "CANCEL". In this case, you should use the key.
Interior lighting control
Press the corresponding one on the remote control. If the interior light switch is set to the middle position "0", the interior lighting will turn on for 30 seconds. You can turn off the lighting forcibly without waiting for the agreed period.
Battery replacement
Attention! Disposal of used batteries must be carried out in accordance with the requirements established by local authorities in order to avoid harm to the environment. 1. The remote control uses a CR2025 type lithium battery as the power source. try not to expose the remote control to moisture, make sure that no oil gets inside the remote control during the replacement of the element.
2. Turning with a suitable tool (or coins), open the round cover on the back of the remote control. 3. Remove the old battery from the remote control and replace it with a new one.
4. Install and tighten the cover tightly.
5. To check the correct functioning of the remote control, press one of its buttons several times.
Access to the underhood space
1. The hood release lever handle is located on the left under the vehicle instrument panel. When pulling the handle towards you, the hood should rise slightly.
2. After releasing the latch of the lock, exit the passenger compartment and go around the car in front. An additional latch release lever is located under the front edge of the hood. 3. Before slamming the hood, make sure that no tools, rags or other foreign objects are left in the engine compartment. Track reliability of fixing of a cowl by a latch.
Access to glove box
1. The glove box can only be unlocked/locked with the master key. To open the lid of the box, pull the handle of its lock towards you; the lock snaps into place automatically when the lid is closed. Opening the drawer with the ignition on is accompanied by automatic switching on of its backlight.
Warning! If the glove compartment lid is not fully closed in an accident, it can cause serious injury to the passenger in the front seat, even if the seat belt is fastened!

Unlocking from the passenger compartment
Version A
The lid release lever is located on the outside of the driver's seat. To open the luggage compartment, pull the lever up. Locking occurs automatically when the lid is closed.
Version B
The lid release button is located under the driver's door armrest. To open the luggage compartment, press the switch button. Locking occurs automatically when the lid is closed.
Unlocking with a key
1. To open the trunk lid, turn the key in its lock clockwise. The lock snaps into place automatically when the lid is closed.
2. The tailgate lock is equipped with a special interlock. When the lock handle is moved to the position "CANCEL" the lid can only be unlocked with the key.

Version A
Note. To unlock the filler hatch cover, move the handle located to the left of the driver's seat to the vehicle's DP and press it down. The lock snaps into place automatically when the lid is closed.
Version B
To unlock the cover, press the control key. The lock snaps into place automatically when the lid is closed.
Removing the cork
Attention! Only genuine Nissan plugs should be used as replacement plugs. A safety valve is built into the plug to ensure the proper functioning of the power supply and engine control systems
1. The filler neck of the fuel tank of the car is closed with a plug equipped with a right-hand thread and a ratchet stopper.
2. Having unscrewed the plug, fix it in a special bracket on the back side of the hatch cover.
Ignition/steering column lock
The ignition switch is located on the right side of the steering column. The key can occupy one of four positions in the lock:
- a) LOCK - blocking
- b) ACC - auxiliary consumers of electricity (parking position)
- c) ON - ignition on
- d) START - engine start
Position "LOCK" - blocking
1. The key can be inserted into the lock or removed from it only in this position. When turning the ignition key from position "LOCK" into position "ACC" the steering column is unlocked. To turn the key from position "ACC" into position "LOCK", you must first lightly press it, drowning it in the lock a little. In addition, on models equipped with an automatic transmission, the gear selector lever must be in position before removing the key "R". Note: Opening the driver's door with the lock left in the lock position "LOCK" key causes the alarm buzzer to sound.
2. The steering column is locked automatically when you try to turn the steering wheel after removing the key from the ignition.
3. Steering column lock sometimes makes it impossible to turn the key in the ignition. In such a situation, slightly tug the steering wheel in both directions (in order to relieve the burden), while turning the key in the lock.
Attention! Never remove the key from the ignition lock while driving! This will inevitably lead to steering column lock and loss of control. Remove the key from the lock only after the vehicle has come to a complete stop.
Position "ACC" - parking
In this position of the ignition key, the auxiliary consumers of electricity can operate (audio system, cigarette lighter, heater fan, windshield wipers, etc.).
Note. Opening the driver's door with the lock left in the position "ACC" key causes the alarm buzzer to sound.
Position "ON" - ignition on
1. In this position, the ignition key is constantly while the car is moving, as well as when the engine is idling. At the same time, electrical power is provided to all systems and additional equipment installed on the vehicle. When turning the key from position "ACC" into position "ON" some of the control lamps located on the dashboard of the car briefly turn on, confirming the correct functioning of the corresponding control systems.
2. On some models, when the key is turned to the "ON" headlights turn on automatically (daytime running lights [DRL]).
Position "START" - launch
Turning the key to this position engages the starter. After starting the engine, the key must be released and it will automatically return to the "ON".
