1 - CVT with drive axle; 2 — differential side seal.
Removal
- Remove the drive shaft.
- Remove the transfer case from the variator and drive axle.
- Using a flat-blade screwdriver, remove the differential side seal (1).
Caution: Be careful not to scratch the variator housing.
Installation
- When installing the differential side seal, lubricate the new seal with NISSAN NS-2 CVT fluid.
Caution: The differential side seal is not reusable.
- Using a drift, install the differential side seal into the housing so that it is flush with the housing (see picture). Take into account the values of size A. A = 0±0.5 mm.
Caution: It is necessary to take into account the direction of pulling out the differential side seal.
- Install all removed parts back into their places.
- If there have been any lubricant leaks, check the fluid level after finishing work (see the relevant section).
