Removal and installation
Removal
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the oil dipstick.
Caution: To prevent foreign particles from entering, plug the dipstick guide hole.
3. Disconnect the PCV hose from the intake manifold and valve cover.
4. Disconnect the air duct and resonator assembly. See above.
5. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold. See above.
6. Disconnect the water hoses from the electric throttle actuator; install plugs to prevent coolant from leaking.
(The text was borrowed from here: «NissanBook.ru»)
Caution: Perform this operation when the engine is column mounted.
- Do not allow engine coolant to come into contact with the drive belt.
7. Remove the electric throttle actuator.
Attention:
- Handle the electric drive with care and avoid impacts.
- Do not disassemble the throttle body wiring.
8. Remove the intake manifold (1) as follows.
a. Loosen and remove the intake manifold mounting bolts (A) and (B).

b. Loosen the mounting bolts in the reverse order to that shown in the figure.

Caution: To prevent foreign particles from entering, plug the openings in the engine.
9. If necessary, remove the brackets from the intake manifold.
10. If necessary, remove the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve from the intake manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
Intake manifold
1. Check if the gasket has fallen out of the installation groove of the intake manifold.
2. Install the intake manifold as follows:
a. Tighten the bolts in the order indicated by the numbers in the figure.

b. Retighten mounting bolt No.1.
c. Tighten the intake manifold mounting bolt (A), then the mounting bolt (B).

1. Intake manifold.
Electric throttle actuator
- Tighten the bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern in several passes.
- When disconnecting the connector from the electric throttle actuator in case of repair, perform "Closed Throttle Position Learning". See the "Engine Management System" chapter.
- When replacing the throttle actuator in case of repair, perform "Learning the closed throttle position" and "Learning the air supply at rpm x x". See the chapter "Engine management system".
